Subscribing

Send commands to listserv1@necronomi.com. The commands go in the body of the message, not the subject line. The Convergence lists use listserv2@necronomi.com instead.

If you are new to the Internet, familiarize yourself with netiquette and then lurk until you are sure you know what you are doing. Violations of netiquette or the site rules will get you booted and banned.

The following commands are accepted:

subscribe OHgoth-L

Adds your address to the list of subscribers. You can then send messages to the list. If you were subscribed to the digest version of the list, you are removed from the digest subscription list.

Adds your address to the list of digest subscribers. You can then send messages to the list. If you were subscribed to the normal version of the list, you are removed from the normal subscription list.

Your address is removed from the list of subscribers or digest subscribers. You will no longer receive messages or digests and will no longer be able to send messages to the list.

This will return the current number of subscribers on whichever mailing list you specify, and showing the proportions of digest and normal subscribers.

Returns a list of the available public mailing lists.

Returns help info, much like this section.

• Necronomi.com does not support subscriptions from free email sites, like hotmail.com and usa.net.
• Crimson-L controls subscription access; check it's page for details. One cannot subscribe to Crimson-L via the listserv1@necronomi.com address.
• Some commands require a time-dependant mailback confirmation.

Once you have received confirmation of your subscription, send a message to the list as a way of saying hello, and introduce yourself. The address to send messages to is whichever list you have subscribed to @necronomi.com.
